Charity donation

Here’s an important tweet sent in by @eikcimickie. We wanted to make you aware that you can donate both $XEM and $XYM to help those that were affected by the terrible 2011 Tōhoku earthquake and tsunami. This is an important cause so if you are feeling generous then please consider a donation.

New YouTube channel from nembear!

Awesome! Apparently @nembear has started a new YouTube channel featuring videos relating to Symbol. Even if you don’t speak Japanese yourself, please support the channel and let people know about it!

Thanks @alediemmee for sending this translation in. It seems that @aramsan who is Manager of Blockchain at Gaiax has published a book which contains case studies of projects using both Ethereum and NEM blockchains. Could be worth a read if you can read Japanese that is! The book can be purchased here.

Thanks @bestgoldangel for sending in this tweet from @SchoolofNEM which shows the power of aggregate transactions on the Symbol blockchain. Here you see that a digital asset (in this example a ticket) can be sent to the purchaser immediately as the fee is received – the transaction is simultaneous and relies both parties upholding their end of the deal, if they don’t then the transaction does not complete and nobody loses out. This is a kind of escrow which gives both buyer and seller security when transacting.
