05 Jul Tweet update 05/07/21

Start of another working week for me. Just looking forward to the day when I can live off my harvesting income and forget about the day job Monday blues 💭… Sorry, too downbeat! 😆 Let’s get started with some Symbol related tweets to cheer us all up!

Decentralisation

Here’s one from @AbdouBouterfaya based on a tweet from @nembear talking about the beauty of decentralisation. I think (reading into this tweet a bit more) it is basically saying that even when you are not actively working on Symbol, promoting Symbol or generally contributing to the ecosystem at any given moment in time, you can be assured that someone, somewhere is. We are all working toward a common goal in our own ways and for different reasons but the work of the whole is greater than the sum of its parts.

Harvesting satisfaction survey

OK, good luck with this one! I have no idea what the pie chart represents but I will explain the content at least. Thanks to @alediemmee for sending in another @nembear tweet. This time it is all about delegated harvesting. There are literally thousands of Symbol users delegating their XYM to over 1500 different Symbol nodes. This survey is taking a poll of user satisfaction with the node that they are delegating to. This will be an interesting survey to follow and I would love to report on the results once they are published. The survey is in Japanese but a link to the Google Doc is here. I think that the Google translation is actually pretty good (at least to English) so you can take part even if you don’t speak Japanese. There are only 3 multiple choice questions:

• How satisfied are you with the delegated node?
• What are the characteristics of the node you are currently delegating?
• If you move to another node, what would you choose as a criteria for changing?

As well as some free text questions asking for reasons involved in the answers selected.

NEMedia

I am sure that we have mentioned NEMedia before on the blog but we don’t mention it enough! 😊 This came in from @bestgoldangel and we couldn’t agree more! Please go check it out, it’s in Japanese but again with Google Translate (and a bit of luck) the articles are accessible to an English audience. We really need to start translating more of these to English too – if anyone would like to volunteer then please let me know!

So this tantalising tweet from @Jaguar0625 had us all excited. We have no idea what is coming but can’t wait to find out! Seems to be a lot of chatter in unofficial channels at the moment about new developments but nobody has a clue what they are. When core dev Jaguar0625 is alluding to something then you can be sure that there is big news around the corner. Once the news is reported we will be writing about it here (and we won’t even need to translate!). The future’s looking bright ☀️😎
