12 Oct SYMBOL BLOCKCHAIN NEWS UPDATE โ 12/10/21
Sorry, have been quiet for a couple of days now but as you can see the site has had a bit of a facelift! ๐ First of all I would like to give a huge shoutout to Kyle for the redesign, I know that I have been really annoying and broken things multiple times but I think that the final result looks amazing so thank you again for your hard work, I really appreciate it!
I am going to try to catch up with Twitter and get myself back into writing mode. Need to bulk up some new content for the new look website so welcome to Tuesday’s Symbol Blog update!
Everything changes
Symbol Blog isn’t the only one with a change of image today. Looks like @NEMofficial has a new look too. Nice to see that the logo has been finalised and I am loving the look of the shield. I will be updating all of the links and logos on the blog at some point in the future once the new Symbol website goes live!

Wallet feedback
If you have any feedback on the user experience/interface of the Symbol wallet then here is your chance to share it! I am pretty sure that there is some room for improvement so if you have any good ideas then let Hatchet or @elcoiki know and you might see them implemented in a future wallet release!
Transparent finances
@symbol_super has made a Telegram bot that monitors the Symbol and NEM treasury funds so now we can see when and how much XEM and XYM are being spent from the core funds. This is a really good idea and provides greater transparency to the community who can now track spending and monitor the movements of these funds. Great work @symbol_super! ๐
Update – here’s a video showing all of the bot features and I see that the treasury tracker is also available as a channel in XYMcity along with a NEM supernode payout tracker!
Clearing up the confusion
Hehehe ๐ I always found this confusing too. It seems that there are so many different social media channels that not even the those in charge know about them all! Time for a bit of a cull I think. Would be good to see Discord gaining more traction – this really should be at the centre of our community so if you have not signed up yet then now is the time to do so!
Charity
I would love to see an English translation of this tweet from @kyle97119. From the Twitter auto translate it seems like this was a fundraising event collecting XYM donations which was given to charity to help the poor. This is a really great initiative and it looks like it will be a permanent fixture so please let us know more details and we can feature it on the blog and try to get some additional community support for future events!
No hidden messages
Calm down Twitter! As @TrendStream rightly points out there is some humour in the @NEMofficial background image. It isn’t a secret message to say that a Binance listing is imminent, just a little joke (and a good one too in my opinion) ๐ That doesn’t mean to say that it is not on the horizon, just that this image doesn’t have any significance. I know we would all like to see a Binance exchange listing and I am sure that it will happen eventually, it’s just a question of when. I for one will be relieved when the perennial question “when Binance?” dies a death.
