Another day, another Symbol Blog update. Hope that you guys are all well and your harvests are plentiful 🌾 We have quite a few stories to get through today so I better get on with it! 😁
QUEST – new features
QUEST have published an update on the new features that they are working on. As we reported recently there is already a new feature implemented to allow you to show project progress even if you have not set any quest milestones. This is really handy to show your audience that you are working on the quest and attract new people to boost it.
The big news is that development of the ReQUEST feature is well underway. Here is a diagrammatic overview of the ReQUEST process.
The ReQUEST fee is tied to the quest length so the longer the quest, the higher the fee from the requester. Also an initial boost is needed from the requester – the higher the boost the more likely the performer is to take on the quest.

Catch Kristy speak at the UpBit Developer Conference
It seems that @OhGodAGirl will be speaking today (Thursday 3rd) at 14:15-14:45 KST (05:15 UTC) about “DeFi or die” at UDC 2021. The abstract is below.

The Wolf Farm
The Wolf Farm is supporting a variety of projects and donating to animal charities. You can read all about the project and last months donations here. It seems that 3000 XYM was donated to the Shin Kuma node, 3000 XYM to QUEST and ¥50,000 to a local cat charity “Kasuya cat” (as you know I love cats!)😻
Symbolution on the go!
It looks like Symbolution will become a smartphone app in the near future! I am not too sure of the details but it looks like (maybe) videos will be displayed to users and the fees collected will be used to fund the XYM transaction fees in game. Otherwise there will be need for an in game wallet which will complicate the process.
This is very cool though – I really hope that there will be an English translation in the future! Can we get our XYMbassador translators onto this? I will help too if I can!
The Symbol tribe
Saw this tweet from Hatchet and thought that I would share. I think this holds true in many careers but is especially true in crypto. I feel like there has been a huge change for the better recently and the team is working on what they want to do and focusing on the tech. The tribe has formed and will attract new people that like what is happening with Symbol/NEM. The wider community tribe seems to be galvanising, learning more about the technology and sharing what they are doing with the rest of the world. This is my tribe and probably yours too if you are reading this! Even if we are not shaping the future of the technology we still have an important part to play.
Social media accounts
I have heard a lot of people ask about the @NEMofficial account recently. As you will have noticed it has been silent for quite some time. This does suck but it seems that there isn’t a lot we can do about this until things are sorted out in terms of the transition from NGL. Apparently next month should be exciting! I think that the new website launches then too from what I picked up from discussions on Discord. Not long to go now…
