03 Jul Tweet update 03/07/21
It’s the weekend! Hope you are all relaxing and having fun! Just a short post today to keep you up to date with what’s going on with NEM / Symbol in the Twitterverse.
The first Symbol art dealer?
Both @SamiurR76186237 and @schwab_leonardo picked up this tweet by @nembear discussing reselling NFTs at nember.art. It seems that NFTs are appreciating in value! Work that has already sold on the platform is now attracting higher offers than the original sale price. This means that potentially the artworks can be resold at a profit by the original buyer.
The NFT pictured seems to have a current high offer of 1600 XYM (~$200) but looking at previous sales the other NFTs in this series by Maho you can see that the prices are rising rapidly and rightly so!
It’s great to see such a talented artist using a new medium and getting recognition for her excellent work!
Silence please!
Thanks @DjCellBlock for sending this tweet from @SchoolofNEM. The Tokyo NEM Mokumoku-kai group has been meeting since October 2018. It is a quiet study meeting where members sit an read books and information relating to NEM. It has also been held in Osaka, Nagoya and Fukuoka.
I wondered if something had been lost in translation as the concept seems a little alien to westerners. Silent gatherings where you research a particular topic in the same location. I did a little research myself and it seems that the translation was correct and it is most definitely a thing. I love the idea – we need more of this! Guys you can count me in next time I am in Tokyo! 📚🤫
OK, that’s it from me for today. I will try to be back tomorrow for another short weekend post, otherwise I’ll be back on Monday for sure. Thanks for reading and please send me more Symbol news and views that you spot on Twitter! 😊
I’m a Symbol and NEM enthusiast and run this blog to try to grow awareness of the platform in the English-speaking world. If you have any Symbol news you would like me to report on or you have an article that you would like to publish then please let me know!
