C# dual SDK
Toshi’s dual NEM and Symbol C# SDK alpha version is now available on GitHub and it looks like it is passing all tests 😊. In his tweet he says:
“I think the main use is Unity, but last time I had almost no knowledge about it, so this time I will carefully consider how to organize documentation and how to distribute it. The original is still an alpha version, so naturally, this is also an alpha version.”
Everybody was cross-chain swapping
Toshi has also managed to recreate an Ethereum-Symbol cross-chain swap which Gimre demonstrated last week. Good to see that community members are experimenting in this area. I wonder whether this has started a trend and we will see swaps with other chains coming soon.
DrugN
I have to say I know nothing about this project but according to Radio’s tweet, it looks like it is a startup project which is led by HealthCareGate Co., Ltd. It was one of six proof of concepts that was been selected by the Kanagawa Prefecture “Acceleration Programme” and judging by the screenshot Symbol is being used somewhere in the project.
I don’t have a lot of information on this story but did find a brief description here. DrugN allows patients to earn incentives by submitting images of their medications before and after taking them. The aim is to encourage patients to take their medications and reduce the burden on pharmacies to follow up with patients, reduce medication waste and reduce the severity of patients’ illnesses thus freeing healthcare professionals’ time.
COMSA launch NCFT
COMSA has launched a new product “NCFT“. It appears that this new service will allow users to make limited edition NFTs each with a unique serial number. I guess it is similar to prints in the art world where a 1/1 original is also turned into a limited series e.g. of a few hundred prints which makes them more accessible to those that can’t afford an original artwork (although you should see the price of Banksy prints 😬).
Tresto has dug a little further into this and it looks like a series of up to 10,000 editions can be created and sold for a maximum of 999,999.99 XYM/JPY. Buyers can choose to purchase a particular serial number in the series if available e.g. number 1 of 1,000 or opt for a random edition. The issuer can set an immediate or timed release date and all data is stored on-chain (as with standard COMSA NFTs).
I guess it is a nice idea but currently, there’s probably not enough demand to make this worthwhile. The sales volume of COMSA versus OpenSea for example is minuscule and the number of in-demand artists is small. Mind you if the price of the NCFTs is right and the art is great then hopefully we will see this grow in the future.
One last comment from h_gocchi to be aware of though. Platform sales commision on the first sale is 20% with a recurring 7.77% commission on each subsequent secondary sale.
